A last morning on the mountain
The Streuböden gondola's core hours last winter were 08:00 to 16:00, so with an evening flight and a car booked to your door a last morning is possible. Keep it on the Fieberbrunn side: there is no ski bus between Saalbach Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn, and if TirolS stops on the way back, the road round is 47 km, about 50 minutes, before the airport run has even started.

The fortress stands above the Inn in Kufstein, where the car joins the motorway at Kufstein Süd. It opens daily from 09:00 to 18:00 in summer, last entry 17:00, and from 10:00 to 17:00 from 3 November 2026 to 20 March 2027. On a summer departure with an evening flight it is the natural last stop in Austria, just before the border.
