The Fleckalmbahn at Klausen 2 takes you from Kirchberg up to the Ehrenbachhöhe in KitzSki. Miss the last lift back and you return to Kirchberg by road, the evening before a flight.

Kufstein Fortress is the last Austrian landmark before the border, on its rock above the Inn. It opens daily from 09:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:00. With an evening flight and a free morning, it is a stop on the way north. Agree the waiting time with your carrier before you book, because the border comes straight after it.

KitzSki prices its Premium band, 20 December 2026 to 13 March 2027, as the peak of the season. The Dutch school holidays end on Sunday 3 January, Sunday 21 February and Sunday 28 February 2027, which puts departures on the weekends before them. On Hahnenkamm weekend, 23 and 24 January 2027, Kirchberg is the organiser's official race car park for arrivals from the Innsbruck side, with spectators asked to park by 09:00 on the Saturday. A departure that weekend should leave early.
Traffic Patterns
Northbound, the B 170 is the one road out of the valley to the motorway, shared with Brixen, Westendorf and Hopfgarten. The German border controls at Kiefersfelden are on this leg; ADAC gives no waiting time, only that controls lead to queues and waits depending on traffic. The Tyrolean lorry metering at Kufstein is on southbound traffic, the arrival direction, so it does not slow this leg. Nobody publishes a Saturday northbound drive time.
